The Gates of Bahay Sibol

For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease Job 14:7

What We Do

Bahay Sibol welcomes children into the home in the hopes that they would feel the nurture and natural dynamics of a family. Ultimately, we want these kids to be adopted or be reunited with capable family. No matter how much love we can give these kids, we are still an institution---- and they deserve a chance at a family of their very own.

Adoption

Bahay Sibol has had ten children be adopted. Most of these adoptions were matched domestically within the Philippines. Recently, in July of 2023, we had our first international adoption.

Bahay Sibol Inc. does not process adoptions nor match families. We are currently under the Department of Social Welfare and Development and therefor abide by the laws and regulations that are set in place for legal adoption.

Making a mark

Reunification

We are happy to say that twenty-two children have painted their mark on our home before reuniting with their biological family.

Our administration handles a variety of cases. Ideally children are placed back with capable family so they can continue growing their "roots" or identity with biological family.

Bahay Sibol-Transfer

Transfer

Transfer refers to children who will be placed in foster care or transferred to specialty-care centers.

Foster care prepares children with varying cases who will be adopted in the future. Children are placed into foster families while they wait. Bahay Sibol has had two children placed in foster care.

Sadly, our home is not qualified to handle certain cases. Four children have been placed in specialty-care through partnerships with other alternative child-caring facilities who are more qualified and equipped to meet their particular needs.

Continuing to Guide

Partner with us as we implement our Independent Living Program, as soon as possible.

Independent Living Program

Sadly, not all kids will be adopted or placed with capable family. It is our desire to guide them to adulthood. This endeavor requires a new building that will consist of a bakery and cafe for skills training and earning money; as well as apartments for these young adults to live in while preparing for life.
